“Money, Message, Voters. An Election Primer”.

The training is a four hour class. It will review and provide guidance on the law and ethics rules, guidelines and reporting in the operation of political campaigns for the Office of Sheriff including legal issues and tools available for fundraising, getting the message out, contacting voters, using media and social media, and operating campaigns. This is ideal for those running for reelection and have questions on the do’s and don’ts. A working lunch will be provided.

Mental Health Association Oklahoma’s Justice and Mental Health Training Center is delivering a new 4-hour CLEET-certified training program designed to equip security with enhanced knowledge and skills related to interacting with people experiencing mental illness, addiction, and homelessness and accessing community resources.  Participants will also receive 2 hours mental health credit. Disaster Recovery in Rural Communities

This course teaches community leaders and emergency managers in rural communities how to plan for and execute disaster recovery efforts. Upon implementation, this course will assist rural communities with expediting disaster recovery efforts and facilitating the long-term economic success of their communities. Examples from Hurricane Katrina and towns devastated by tornadoes will be used as case studies to examine why communities were successful or unsuccessful in their recovery efforts.
