Today, we know unequivocally that strangulation is one of the most lethal forms of domestic violence: unconsciousness may occur within seconds and death within minutes. It is an ultimate in power and control where the batterer can demonstrate control over the victims next breath; having devastating psychological effects or a potentially fatal outcome.

During this presentation we will discuss lessons learned, best practices, and resources available for family violence; as well as assessing and understanding the level and risk of lethality in cases involving strangulation.

Enrollment is limited. This training is approved for 8 hours of CLEET CE.
