The Oklahoma Sheriffs’ Association was proud to award Sheriff Charlie Dougherty of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office with the 2016 Oklahoma Sheriffs’ Association’s Sheriff of the Year award at our 2016 Awards Banquet.

Sheriff Dougherty has taken the time and put forth the effort to keep Lincoln County, the communities, the media, and the County Commissioners informed on the hard work and dedication that apply every day to insure the Sheriff’s Office is second to none.  This Sheriff’s commitment to educate the citizens and commissioners on the problems facing his Office and the solutions he has already implemented has forged the respect and support of the citizens of the County for many terms to come.
