BECKHAM COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Communications Deputy (dispatcher) – Full Time

The Beckham County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications for the position of Communications Deputy. Experienced, OLETS certified applicants are preferred and may be eligible for increased starting pay, but non-experienced applicants with a good background will be considered.

Salary is competitive with paid health insurance and retirement benefits available after 60 days.

Applicants must meet the basic requirements as listed below:

Requirements:
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED and be able to read and write reports well and possess basic computer skills.  Applicants must also possess above-average communication skills and have a strong ability to focus and stay on task during intense, rapidly evolving situations.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Possess good moral character.
• Have not been convicted of any felony or any serious misdemeanor within the last 5 years. Must not have been convicted of any crime of domestic violence or moral turpitude.
• All applicants must undergo an extensive background check, interview process and drug test, and may be asked to take a written test.

 

Detention Deputy – Full Time
