On April 29, 2015 the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals rendered their ruling on the DOC vs Bryan County lawsuit. The appeals court upheld the decision of the lower court in favor of Bryan County. This decision is instrumental in the argument as to whether Sheriff’s can use ad valorem tax money for the care of inmates that have received a Judgement and Sentence.
