The Oklahoma Sheriffs’ Association was grateful to recently come into possession of this photo of the State Sheriffs’ Association semi-annual conference in Tulsa in 1926. Sheriffs are the oldest structured peace officer organization in the state; as evidenced by this photo, Sheriffs just like we have today have been meeting and holding conferences since 1914.
